We’re Barcelona bound!
Barcelona…it can’t possibly be as great as people say it is, can it? Oh yes it can! With its cosmopolitan feel, relaxed pace of life, breathtaking architecture, infinite dining and drinking options, and comfortable climate, it really is the city that has everything. Countless cafes line the streets, mind-blowing tapas are offered alongside homemade sangria and frosty beers, the stunning Barceloneta beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, and the entrepreneur and nightlife scenes will make sure you never lack for anything exciting or interesting to experience, learn, and do. We’re spending four weeks living, working, and exploring this world-class destination and it’s sure to fill up fast!
It’s all about quality of life.
It’s hard to beat the quality of life in Barcelona. Hitting the beach in the morning, putting in a few hours at a cool café and/or coworking space, going out for tapas and sangria, taking a stroll along tree-lined avenues, and then hitting the clubs for an unforgettable night dancing to jazz and flamenco. Adapt yourself to the slower pace of the locals and savor each moment. What’s not to love?
Bustling city meets beach life.
You’ll love living in this stunning city. Grab your weekly groceries from the famous Bouqueria market where locals sell the best of the best meats, fish, vegetables, tapas, and more. Wander around, find your new favorite morning cafe. There are unlimited dining options, friendly and charismatic locals, a bustling entrepreneurship scene, and unmatched nightlife.
And since we’ll be there as the weather warms up, why not head down the road, where the sun-drenched beaches make a fine backdrop to a jog, bike ride or long leisurely stroll along the seaside – then follow it up with a dip in the ocean and a cocktail at a beach bar.
You can also enjoy the view from out on the water while kayaking, paddleboarding or going for a swim. Looming behind the city, the rolling forest-covered Collserola hills provide a scenic setting for hiking, mountain biking or just admiring the view.
Have a more impactful travel experience with us.
While we’re all about having a great time and getting our work done, we also set out to be more than just privileged travelers heading to places our dollar goes furthest. On every trip we work to connect with, lend our skills to, and make partnerships with local organizations and NGOs so we leave this place better than we found it. You’ll have the opportunity to work with non-profits distributing food surplus to people in need, caring for abandoned or mistreated animals, and more.
Where We’ll Live
Ditch the hostel life.
We're all adults here with a job to do - we need to be comfortable to be productive. That's why we only arrange comfortable, private living spaces for all participants, close to the action of town, but in quiet areas for maxin' and relaxin'. We’ve secured private rooms (each with an ensuite bathroom) at one of the coolest spaces in town, complete with large shared kitchen, rooftop deck (barbecue time!), and a workspace. The area is village-like, lively, packed with restaurants, artsy cafes, and bars, and blessedly free of too many tourists. You'll be just a short walk from everything you'll need. Traveling slow with us means getting to settle in, unpack, and unwind in your own private oasis.
Where We’ll Work
Become a pro at productivity.
While you're totally free to work from your living room or from one of the hundreds of super-cool cafes in Mexico City, we know you want an awesome office too. Our coworking partner has a bright, spacious office, lightning-fast wifi, private Skype booths, and is the perfect place for work, chill, and fun. You can focus, get your things done, have a meeting, read a travel magazine, and feel at home. This space is home to many floating freelancers, talented entrepreneurs, and young start-ups making it a highly creative and collaborative community. This office will help you be more productive than ever.
