We’re in Love with Lisbon.

Oh, Lisbon.  You either love it…or you love it! Portugal’s hilly, coastal, shockingly affordable capital city enjoys an average of 253 sunny days a year (more than any other capital city) and boasts an extraordinary work/life balance.  Everything is at your fingertips here: fresh seafood, surfing, beaches, ancient architecture, and views for days.

Century-old trams still carry tourists and locals alike up and down the beautiful narrow streets. The smell of the ocean mixes with freshly baked pasteis de nata (custard egg tarts).  Cafes, bars, and even Michelin-starred restaurants beckon as you stroll in the sun listening to chatter and local fado music.  Bursting with culture, great food, architecture, and inspiring street art, it’s a place so beautiful you can’t believe people are using it to live in.

You know it’s on your bucket list.

And for good reason. Lisbon is quickly becoming one of the hottest European destinations for young entrepreneurs, nomads, and anyone looking for the perfect mix of amazing food, fantastic weather, and a buzzing, bustling city that locals and foreigners alike are obsessed with. By day we’ll explore the winding, cobbled streets, eat our weight in pastries, and work from cool cafes. By night we’ll enjoy some of the best bars, clubs, and live music Europe has to offer.

Work hard, play hard.

Like all of our destinations, it’s all about finding that perfect balance of work and play. In Lisbon you’ll find plenty of cool cafes and coffee shops to post up with the ‘ol laptop and pound out a few productive hours. Type away while you stare at the sea (or into a delicious pastry, we won’t judge).

When we’re not working, we’ll be taking surf lessons just a few minutes away, exploring local markets just bursting with homemade treats, lazing the afternoon away sitting at seaside cafes, and eating all the seafood we can get our hands on. And we’ll make sure to head up to one of the seven cinematic hillsides overlooking the Rio Tejo to view Lisbon's postcard-perfect panorama of cobbled alleyways, ancient ruins and white-domed cathedrals – a captivating recipe crafted over centuries.

Have a more impactful travel experience with us.

While we’re all about having a great time and getting our work done, we also set out to be more than just privileged travelers heading to places our dollar goes furthest.  On every trip we work to connect with, lend our skills to, and make partnerships with local organizations and NGOs so we leave this place better than we found it.  In between work and exploration, we’ll make sure to connect you with as many ways as possible to help the local community thrive. You’ll have the opportunity to work with non-profits distributing food surplus to people in need, caring for abandoned or mistreated animals, and more.

Where We’ll Live

Ditch the hostel life.

We're all adults here with a job to do - we need to be comfortable to be productive.  That's why we only arrange comfortable, private living spaces for all participants, close to the action of town, but in quiet areas for maxin' and relaxin'.  We’ve secured private rooms (each with an ensuite bathroom) in traditional Lisbon building, complete with great wifi, lots of light, full kitchens, and even ocean views. The revamped Cais do Sodre area is young, hip, and one of the coolest neighborhoods in ntown. You'll be just a short walk from everything you'll need including great restaurants, bars, clubs, and unique shops.  Traveling slow with us means getting to settle in, unpack, and unwind in your own private oasis.
